LinkedIn Verification
Blind now offers LinkedIn Verification, a new way to stay connected to the community even if you no longer have access to a corporate email address. This feature is designed specifically for former employees, laid-off workers, and job seekers.
Who is this feature for?
- Former Employees: Those who have resigned or moved on.
- Laid-off Workers: Those who recently lost access to their company email.
- Job Seekers: Professionals currently between roles.
How will I appear on the platform?
If you verify via LinkedIn and do not have an active company email, your posts and comments will display an "Ex-Employee" tag.
Is my identity still anonymous?
Yes. Blind’s core mission remains the same: no personal information is stored. The LinkedIn check is a one-time verification to confirm your professional history; your account remains completely anonymous to other users and your former employer.
Does Blind store my LinkedIn data?
No. Blind does not store your private LinkedIn data or link your real identity to your anonymous account.
Requirements for Verification
To use this feature, your LinkedIn profile must meet three specific criteria:
- Your LinkedIn profile is fully public
- Past work experience is listed
- You have more than 50 LinkedIn connections
Can I still post in my old company's private channel?
No. To maintain the integrity of private company spaces, only current employees with active work emails can post or comment in those specific channels. However, you may still have read-only access to the channel.
How long does it take to get verified?
The verification process typically takes 24–48 hours.
What if I am having issues?
If you experience any technical difficulties or your verification is taking longer than expected, please contact our support team at blindapp@teamblind.com.
