CustomizeYour Feed with Muted Keywords

Blind is one of the most popular communities for professionals, which can make it easy to get career advice, evaluate a company before accepting a job offer, or feel more connected to what’s happening at your company.

But we understand some of the activity can also make finding what you’re looking for harder. Now, you can make sure you don’t miss anything by personalizing your feed by hiding or “muting” certain words or phrases.

Here’s how to mute on Blind:

1. Tap My Page from the menu at the bottom of the Blind app. (Muting on the web will come soon.)

2. Tap Mute Keywords.

3. Type the keyword in the box. Each keyword needs to be entered separately.

You can also mute multiple words or phrases, like “Acme Corporation” or “do re mi.”

For the best experience, we recommend being as specific as you can. Mutes are exact matches (except capitalization), so if you mute “Blind,” you’ll still see “blinds” or “Blinder.” But you won’t see articles with “blind.”

Don’t worry! You can still see articles with a muted keyword or phrase when you search.

Plus, we’ll ask you to confirm if you type in a common keyword or phrase, which would remove too much content from your feed before you mute.

If you change your mind about a muted keyword or phrase later, you can delete it from the Mute Keywords page.
