Can I hide my company name to avoid being identified?
Company names are made visible on posts if an organization employs at least 50 people. Unless you share personally identifiable information with others (which we discourage), you shouldn’t have to worry about being identified.
Having company names visible allows our community members to know who they are connecting with - an Amazon employee, Meta employee, and so on. The company label is a vital component of our verified community.

We take anonymity seriously here at Blind. We understand you might not want to participate in some discussions because you want to keep some things private or avoid inadvertently revealing yourself. We hear you, which is why you can now hide your company name when you write a post, comment or reply.
Here’s how it works
- Go to My Page and select Store
- Purchase (post) Hide Company item with B Money. If you do not have any B Money, you need to purchase B Money first.
- Activate Hide Company when you write a post, comment, or reply to hide your company for that post.
Few things to keep in mind
- You’ll need one Hide Company credit for each post you want to write without your company name. (We believe purchases help prevent abuse.)
- You won’t need to use Hide Company if you work at a startup and want to post, comment or reply in the Startup Lounge. You can always hide your company name in the Startup Lounge.Your company name won’t be visible for the entire post, including all comments and replies.
As a community of verified professionals, we believe company names help provide more credibility to the open dialogue and collaboration on Blind. We hope the added anonymity can help you speak your mind, even if you work on a small team, office or company.
